NEW CHANGING ROOMS

Follow the progress of the dismantling and removal of the old changing rooms in Autumn 2024 to their replacement in Spring 2025.

Sunday 8th December 2024

On the day after Storm Darragh wreaked havoc across Wales, a task force of seven braved the still very windy conditions to carry on with dismantling the old changing rooms. The day's task was successfully achieved - the removal of the windows and doors. The 'magnificent' seven were; Adrian Bevan, Brian Ilbery, Ian Davies, Mike Britton, Gordon Tucker, Chris Locke and Alan Lowndes.

Sunday 24th November 2024

Another Sunday of hard work dismantling the old changing rooms  - all in the midst of  storm 'Bert'. Thanks to Adrian, Ian, Mike and Brian.

Sunday 17th November

A working party of seven - Iain Russell, Brian Ilbery, Adrian Bevan, John Eagle, Ian Davies, Gordon Tucker and Mike Britton continued dismantling the changing rooms for removal.

Sunday 10th November 2024

Work started on removing fixtures and fittings from the existing changing rooms.

Original Cabins replaced

The first picture on the left (below) shows the two original cabins installed at the chapel end of the green. The cabins can also be seen behind the young player (Dean). The middle photograph shows one of the original cabins being removed - Russell Howell taking charge on the roof. Picture 4 shows the space prepared for the installation of the second generation of cabins and picture 5 shows the cabins installed, circa 2001. The one on the the right was replaced by the pavilion in 2017. The one on the left is currently being dismantled (November 2024) to make way for a cabin that will house the new changing rooms in 2025. The aerial view of the club, shows the two cabins in place. Note that the trees on the chapel side of the green  were removed to make way for the house that Terry Holmes built.
